THE BOY IS COOKING

$ELNINO is a memecoin paired with sugar, built on the worst El Niño the world has ever seen. The Pacific is running a fever. The cane is dying. Sugar is going up. You get paid in sugar.

Today's number is the Bureau of Meteorology's. Everything to the right of the slider is us. Not a forecast. A vibe.

This is not a price chart.

This is the ocean.

The Bureau of Meteorology's Niño 3.4 index measures how much hotter the central Pacific is than usual. Above +0.8 is El Niño. Above +2.0 is what the scientists, who are normally quite calm people, call super.

We are at +2.54 and it is September. These things usually peak around Christmas. The boy has not even started.

Translation for traders: the index went from below zero to above +2.5 in about five months. That is one of the fastest flips from La Niña to El Niño ever recorded. The chart has a green candle problem and the candle is the Pacific Ocean.

historic event for October to December 2026 is 69 percent.

The sugar thesis

Peer reviewed by nobody. Read in a hot room.

The Pacific is running a fever.

El Niño is a giant patch of hot water in the equatorial Pacific that shows up every few years and rearranges the weather for the entire planet. This one is at +2.54°C and climbing. The last two that got this hot were 1997 and 2015. Both of them wrecked crops from India to Brazil and sent sugar vertical.

NOAA gives it a 69% chance of being historic. We give it 100% because we are a website.

Hot ocean. Dry Asia.

El Niño pushes the monsoon rain off India and Thailand. India is the world's second biggest sugar producer. Thailand is the third biggest producer and the second biggest exporter. Sugar cane is basically a very tall grass that needs a lot of water.

Cane does not get water. Cane becomes lawn. India has already gone from exporting sugar to announcing surprise duty free imports, which is the agricultural equivalent of a rich guy asking to borrow twenty bucks.

Cane, being harvested while it still exists.

Meanwhile Brazil gets rained on.

Brazil is the biggest sugar producer and exporter on earth. El Niño dumps rain on the Centre South right when they are trying to crush cane, and wet cane is bad cane. On top of that, oil is expensive, so Brazilian mills keep turning cane into ethanol instead of sugar. Every litre of ethanol is a bag of sugar that never existed.

Europe already cooked.

EU sugar beet output for 2026/27 is down 19% on heat damage, before the boy has even properly arrived. Sugar futures rose 21.5% in August. Citi called sugar its highest conviction bullish agricultural trade. Green Pool sees a 3.2 million tonne hole in global supply. Every serious forecaster has the arrow pointing the same direction, which in commodities happens roughly never.

Sugar goes up. You get paid in sugar.

$ELNINO is paired with $SB, the sugar commodity coin on Robinhood Chain. Every trade pays a 2% fee. 40% of that fee goes straight to holders, paid in $SB.

El Niño destroys the sugar crop and pays you in sugar. This is the whole thesis. We have nothing else. We are sweating.

The forecast

Phase 1, complete

Advisory

NOAA declares El Niño present. The boy clears his throat.

Phase 2, now

Very strong

Niño 3.4 above +2.0. Cane starts sweating. $ELNINO launches.

Phase 3, Oct to Dec

Historic

69% odds. Thai crush starts in December and finds less cane than it was hoping for.

Phase 4, 2027

La Niña

We do not discuss phase four. Phase four is a cold girl and she is not invited.

Questions people keep asking

Who is the boy?

Peruvian fishermen named the warm current El Niño in the 1600s because it turned up around Christmas and took the fish. He has been ruining harvests for four hundred years. He has never once apologised.

Is this really the worst El Niño in the world?

NOAA puts a very strong event above 90% and a historic event at 69% for October to December. The Niño 3.4 index has gone from below zero to +2.54 in five months, one of the fastest flips ever recorded. So: probably. We have rounded up.

Why sugar and not, like, a normal coin?

Because El Niño does not care about normal coins. It cares about rainfall over India, Thailand and Brazil, which is where most of the world's sugar comes from. Pairing the boy with sugar means the meme and the commodity move for the same reason. Also every trade pays holders in $SB, so the joke has a yield.

What happens when La Niña shows up?

We do not say her name.

Is this financial advice?

No. This is a weather event. Memecoins can go to zero and usually do. Sugar can go down. The Pacific can cool. Buy whatever you like, but do not buy anything you cannot afford to watch evaporate.
